“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” – Mark Twain
Rooted leadership requires a deep connection to purpose. It’s the “why” behind what you do—the internal compass that keeps you aligned when external pressures rise. Purpose fuels resilience, inspires others, and keeps leaders grounded in authenticity.
Rooted leaders don’t chase status or approval. Instead, they lead from within. They make choices based on meaning, not just metrics. They continually ask: Is this aligned with my deeper purpose? When we lead from this space, we don’t just move forward—we move forward in the right direction.
Guidance for Rooted Leaders:
• Regularly reconnect with your “why.” Journal, reflect, and recalibrate when needed.
• Evaluate your commitments: Are they purpose-aligned or people-pleasing?
• Share your purpose with your team—transparency inspires trust and motivation.
• Use purpose as a filter in decision-making, especially during times of uncertainty.
